Hypnotherapy for Social Anxiety

If you find social situations exhausting, overwhelming, or emotionally draining, you’re not alone.

Whether it’s walking into a room full of people, speaking in a group, or just being around others, social anxiety can make you feel like you’re constantly on edge or under scrutiny.

It’s not that you don’t want to connect, you do. But fear, overthinking and a harsh inner critic can make even everyday interactions feel stressful.

Hypnotherapy for social anxiety helps calm that inner noise and gently shift the beliefs that make you feel unsafe or “not enough” around others.

Through RTT® hypnotherapy, we work with the subconscious mind to reduce fear, build real confidence, and help you feel more comfortable just being yourself, in any situation.

Understanding Where Social Anxiety Comes From

Social anxiety often develops from past experiences where you felt judged, embarrassed, rejected, or not accepted. Over time, your mind begins to link social situations with threat and starts activating a stress response every time you’re around others.

You might appear calm on the outside, but inside you’re constantly self-monitoring: “Did I say something weird?” “What if they think I’m awkward?” “I want to leave but I don’t want to seem rude.”

RTT for social anxiety helps you unpick and rewire the beliefs underneath these reactions, so you can respond with calm instead of fear.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Avoiding social events or staying quiet in groups
  • Overthinking conversations before or after they happen
  • Fear of embarrassment, rejection or saying the wrong thing
  • Feeling like you don’t belong or people are judging you
  • Racing heart, sweating or physical tension in social settings
  • Constantly comparing yourself to others
  • Trying to be invisible or “perfect” to avoid criticism
About me

Change your story, change your life — fast and for good.

Hi, I’m Waqar. I’m a hypnotherapist and coach based in Harrow, specialising in RTT® (Rapid Transformational Therapy). I help people stop letting old fears, doubts, and habits run their lives. Whether it’s anxiety, low confidence, or patterns you don’t even realise are holding you back, I help you find them, challenge them, and shift them. This isn’t about endlessly analysing or repeating empty affirmations. It’s about uncovering the real stories beneath the surface and changing what’s driving you, because until that shifts, nothing on the outside will.

The result? You feel clearer, stronger, and more in control, not because you’ve “fixed” yourself, but because you’ve taken charge of what really matters.

  • Sessions are shaped around you and your individual needs
  • I use a mix of therapeutic techniques tailored to your goals

Hypnotherapy for Social Anxiety

RTT® Hypnotherapy to Feel More Socially Confident

RTT® (Rapid Transformational Therapy) is an effective approach for resolving social anxiety at its root.

Instead of just managing the symptoms, RTT works at the subconscious level, where the emotional patterns and beliefs are stored.

During a relaxed hypnosis session, we explore where the fear of judgement or rejection began. We then gently reframe that experience and introduce new beliefs around self-worth, acceptance, and connection.

Most clients begin to feel lighter and more self-assured after just a few sessions, whether that’s speaking up in a meeting, making new friends, or simply feeling at ease in their own skin.

Signs Social Anxiety Is Affecting You

  • Dreading conversations or social plans
  • Feeling awkward, “too much” or not good enough
  • Avoiding eye contact, speaking up or being seen
  • Constant internal self-criticism or fear of humiliation
  • Ruminating on what you said or didn’t say

Let Go of Fear and Be Yourself Around Others

Hypnotherapy for social anxiety helps you feel calm, confident and present, without trying to force it.

Through RTT®, we gently change the beliefs that tell your brain people are unsafe, and replace them with a grounded sense of inner safety, self-trust and belonging.

You’ll be guided through a powerful yet gentle hypnosis process to uncover and release your specific triggers, while reinforcing the truth that you are safe to be seen, heard and accepted as you are.

If you’re ready to stop hiding, start connecting and finally feel free in social settings, RTT hypnotherapy for social anxiety could be your next step forward.

Real feedback from our recent customers

I wasn’t totally sure hypnotherapy was for me. I’d tried loads of things for anxiety and nothing really helped long-term. But after the first session, something just shifted. I still get the odd wobble, but that constant heavy feeling isn’t there anymore.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Question's

Understanding starts here, answers to your most common questions.

RTT® is a transformative therapeutic approach designed to create rapid and lasting change. It combines various therapeutic techniques to identify, understand, and reframe limiting beliefs and thought patterns.

Hypnotherapy is carried out under hypnosis, and it can cover a wide range of practices.

Through hypnosis, the therapist gains access to the subconscious mind and then, using suggestion and convincers, the therapist aims to make long-lasting change. Typically, this can take between 6-10 sessions.

RTT® is different from standard hypnotherapy because it uses hypnosis to find the root cause of the client’s issue. Once clients understand how and when negative beliefs and behaviors were formed, they feel empowered to make real change. This awareness and knowledge means that change can happen more quickly than with standard hypnotherapy, as the client does not need convincing that change is possible – they know it. It’s the ultimate empowering experience

We know thoughts shape our reality, but let’s dive deeper. The secret lies in our subconscious. When thoughts pop up, neurotransmitters, those messengers in our bodies, start reactions before thoughts turn into feelings and perceptions.

These feelings can swing positive or negative, revealing the science behind the power of our thoughts. Even though we might downplay our inner chatter as “little voices,” they’re a potent force in our minds.

Positive neuroplasticity lets the mind reshape the brain. With mindfulness, clarity, and the right tools from a Rapid Transformational Therapist, cells become a breeding ground for change.

We can make the changes we crave in our minds and see them reflected in our lives. It’s about replacing limiting beliefs with positive ones, challenging those sneaky subconscious thoughts that can mess with our mental health and confidence.

The results kick in fast and stick around, especially when paired with hypnotherapy to tweak habits and spot triggers.
